Airtable

Sync SurveyTale responses to Airtable.

Airtable

Connect Airtable to send SurveyTale survey responses into an Airtable table.

Prerequisites

  • A SurveyTale workspace with permission to manage integrations.
  • An Airtable account with access to the base and table you want to use.
  • A destination table with fields for the response data you plan to sync.

Set up the integration

  1. In SurveyTale, open Workspace Settings -> Integrations.
  2. Select Airtable.
  3. Click Connect with Airtable.
  4. Authorize the OAuth flow and allow SurveyTale to access the Airtable workspace, base, and table you want to sync to.
  5. Return to SurveyTale and select the Airtable base and table.
  6. Map SurveyTale fields to Airtable fields. Common mappings include survey name, response ID, submission time, contact email, and individual answer fields.
  7. Save the integration.

How response sync works

After the integration is saved, SurveyTale sends new completed responses to the selected Airtable table. Each response is written as a table record using the field mapping you configured.

If a mapped SurveyTale field is empty for a response, the matching Airtable field is left empty. If Airtable rejects a record because a field type does not match, SurveyTale keeps the response in SurveyTale and reports the sync error in the integration status.

Notes and troubleshooting

  • Make sure each mapped Airtable field accepts the kind of value SurveyTale sends. For example, map dates to date fields and free-text answers to text fields.
  • If a base or table is missing during setup, confirm your Airtable account has access to it and reconnect the integration.
  • If syncs stop working, reconnect Airtable from Workspace Settings -> Integrations -> Airtable to refresh authorization.
  • Avoid renaming or deleting mapped Airtable fields without updating the mapping in SurveyTale.
